CP PISTON SET - 82MM TOYOTA COROLLA 4AGE 1986-1992 TURBO

These pistons are +1.0mm (or 0.040 inches) over bore. This is often referred to as "Fourty Thou Over". Many times when an engine is being rebuilt after a failure, the cylinder walls are slightly damaged, requiring the clinder hole to be bored out. This process removes any surface irregularities from the cylinder wall, exposing a clean true surface. This oversized piston is used to make up the specified difference of material removed by boring the hole bigger. Consult with your machine shop to determine what diameter your engine will be required to be bored to, then buy the corresponding oversized piston.

This provides a small pocket for the combustion gasses to collect after the first ring, reducing ring flutter and providing a better seal allowing more downward force on the piston A.K.A. - make more power. All pistons come balanced within one gram, include pin lock grooves and wrist pins at no additional charge. Brian Crower makes a really nice H-Beam Rod that will hold up to the power of most builds.
