The stock rubber hose is not suitable for high temperatures and boost pressures that the engine is capable of when pushed for performance. The piping will deform and hinder the air flow to the engines intake. With this TOMEI Titanium intake pipe, the deformation problem is eliminated whilst preventing the loss of boost pressure.
